At Vine Church we value worship. We believe music is one of the many ways God’s Church can give glory to his name. It is something seen and practiced throughout the Bible. We want to give honor and glory to God, but we don’t believe that we have to totally divorce ourselves from the current culture in order to do so. Our worship style is in step with culture; our response to Jesus in worship is in step with the Bible.
Vision for Worship
The purpose of the Vine Worship Team is to draw peoples’ eyes off of created things and on to the Creator (Romans 1:25). We focus on lifting up the name of Jesus so that he gets our worship. We lead the church by example in our character, our expression, and the quality of our musicianship. We focus on being:
- Theologically accurate
- Culturally current
- Engaging & memorable for all ages, races, backgrounds, etc

How to Get Involved
1. Sign Up for an Audition. We regularly hold auditions for all kinds of instruments. The audition lasts 20 minutes and allows you the opportunity to share your gift.2. Receive a Follow-up. Given that there are multiple areas where worship help is needed, we will contact you and let you know where service seems like the best fit. This area of service won’t be a fit for everyone. God is the one who gives gifts to us. He also determines how much we function in a particular gift (1 Cor. 12). If it doesn’t work out, it’s nothing personal! Thankfully, God has designed his church so that we all have some place where we can plug in and use our gifts and abilities.
3. Pursue Membership. We value commitment and character in all our team members. We want you to be sure this is your church home before committing to serve in worship. Your spiritual health is much more important than your musical gifting. Pursuing membership ensures you intend to get involved Small Group and get the spiritual care you need. This is done through taking our Next Step Series classes.
